SAND HOLLOW RESORT COURSE
GREAT GOLF IN THE UTAH DESERT AT THE SAND HOLLOW RESORT COURSE
By Ken Liebeskind
Yalesville, Connecticut
Golf in the high desert region of southwest Utah is unlike golf anywhere else in the U.S. or around the world. At the Sand Hollow Resort course, a challenging 7,315 yard par 72 spread, golfers play amidst ridgelines, canyons and red rock cliffs, with major elevation changes and red sand bunkers two of the most severe hazards.
The Sand Hollow Resort course features wide fairways, large bunkers and large, smooth greens. The course starts with eight links style holes that wind through the sand dunes, sagebrush and red rock. Then the elevation changes become more dramatic, with an elevated tee on the 12th hole that plays into a canyon.
